  • 2012-13 GNAC All-Academic Team Announced

    The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2012-13 school year. Thirty-six student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 757 members of the Academic Team from 13 full-time institutions and 12 affiliate member institutions in the conference. The student-athletes selected had to meet the following criteria: maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average, complete at least one full season of competition at a GNAC institution and is of sophomore status academically.

    Albertus won the opening set 25-17 thanks to an early 5-1 run before taking a 10-6 lead on a Chase Brinton (Bethany, Conn.) kill. The Falcons pushed out to a 19-13 lead before a time out. Out of the break, the Falcons put together a 6-4 run to secure the victory as Brinton registered another kill to end the frame.
