Women's Lacrosse Loses GNAC Match To Regis

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team lost a 21-1 game to Regis in its first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) home game of the season.

Samantha Helwig (Northford, Conn.) scored the lone goal for the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Regis jumped out the gate scoring four goals in less than two minutes and scored the first 11 goals of the game to take an 11-0 lead after the first period. Audrey Mason scored three goals in the first and Serenity Ayala and Hope Alto each scored two.
  • Helwig put the Falcons on the board at the 13:38 mark of the second to make it an 11-1 game. Regis scored the final three goals of the half, including a third from Ayala as the Pride took a 14-1 lead into the half.
  • The Pride scored three goals in the third and four more in the fourth as Alto scored twice in the second half.
