Providence, R.I. – The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team fell, 3-0, on the road to Johnson & Wales on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the SMG Complex.

The Falcons (7-7-1, 5-3-1 GNAC) saw their three-game conference winning streak come to an end with their second straight setback to the Wildcats (12-2-3, 7-0-2 GNAC).

The hosts pulled away in the second half, netting all three tallies to escape with the triumph.

JWU midfielder Kali Trunca opened the scoring in the 55th minute with a stirke off a free kick. The marker was her first of the season and was the eventual game-winner. Johnson & Wales added to their lead later in the stanza courtesy of a pair of goals from Kyra Selner. The first was unassisted and came on a shot from just outside the box and the second capped the scoring for the day in the 70th minute.

Albertus Magnus junior midfieler Angelina Piccirillo (Naugatuck, Conn.) had a team-high two shots on goal, while seniors Danielle Polvan (East Haven, Conn.) and Liz Nagy (Meriden, Conn.) each had one shot on target apiece for the guests.

In net, AMC sophomore goalkeeper Lexie Fenn (Oakville, Conn.) turned aside five shots in a losing effort. On the opposite end, Colleen Lynch made four saves to record the shutout.

Albertus Magnus returns to action on Wednesday, October 19, with a home conference showdown against Suffolk that is slated to get underway at 4:00 pm. Last autumn, the Falcons blanked the Rams, 3-0, in the Elm City.
