Men's Basketball Assists Dominican Ministries with Writing Easter Cards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -  The Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team partnered with Sister Anne Killbride, Albertus' Assistant to the President for Dominican Mission, and Hallie Douglas, Coordinator of Dominican Ministries and Services, by writing Easter Cards to the residents of the Mary Wade Home, a nursing and assisted living facility in New Haven, Conn.

The Albertus Magnus College athletic department continues to impact the broader community in positive ways and remains committed to the four pillars of the College - community, service, prayer, and study. To make up for a loss of athletic competitions, each of the athletic teams has been participating in different service projects, including community clean-up, athletic lessons, and volunteering efforts.

"We were happy to assist Sister Anne and Hallie with this service project over the Lenten season," said Coach Mitch Oliver of the Albertus men's basketball team. "As a team, we thought this would be a nice gesture to help bring joy as well as a smile to the residents' faces just in time for the holidays."
