    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - First baseman Shawn Smith (Shelton, Conn.) was named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) third team and freshman outfielder Troy Piascik (East Haven, Conn.) was named to the GNAC All-Rookie team as the conference announced its major awards and all-conference teams on Tuesday. Bobby Arent (Ridgefield, Conn.) was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Falcons rallied back from a two-run deficit in the seventh following a tough 6-5 loss after twelve innings in game one, while Albertus snatched a game-two victory, 5-4, in the final frame.
