NEW HAVEN, Conn. — In this week's "Taking Flight" Players of the Week, Tyler Czeremcha (New Britain, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College baseball team and Danielle Collea (North Salem, N.Y.) of the women's lacrosse team both had great performances in victories for their respective teams.
Czeremcha hit a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the tenth inning, lifting the Albertus Magnus College baseball team to a thrilling 12-11 win over Rivier University. He finished the game 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Then, against Lasell he went 1-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored.
Collea earned her first career win in net for the Falcons in a conference win for the Albertus Magnus women's lacrosse team against Mitchell. She tallied five saves on the day.
