NEW HAVEN, Conn. - As part of Saint Albert Week on the campus of Albertus Magnus College, the athletic department and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) have teamed up with the Dominican Mission & Ministry Office and Chartwells to help collect non-perishable food items for the Centro San Jose Family Center, located in New Haven, Conn. for a Thanksgiving Food Drive that will be held from November 1-16.
Albert Week, which will be held from Nov. 11-15 is a time to honor Saint Albert the Great and help promote the four pillars: study, prayer, community and service.
Additionally, we strongly encourage fans who attend any of the following home contests to bring donations with them to the contests. Fans who bring two non-perishable food items will not be charged to attend the home game:
Nov. 2: Women's Hockey vs. Chatham
Nov. 7: Volleyball vs. Lehman
Nov. 13: Women's Basketball vs. New Jersey City, 5:30 p.m.
Nov. 13: Men's Basketball vs. Montclair State, 7:30 p.m.
Nov. 16: Men's Hockey vs. Castleton, 4 p.m.
The food collection will then be delivered to the Centro San Jose, in time for the organization's distribution for the Thanksgiving holiday.
