NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Jakara Murray-Leach (Norwalk, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team and Deivone Tanksley (Hartford, Conn.) of the men's basketball team were named the Takin' Flight Falcons of the Week for their performances the past couple weeks.
In the past four games, Murray-Leach is averaging 16.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Falcons. Against Coast Guard on December 12, she scored 30 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added three steals.
Tanksley averaged 12.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Falcons as they wrapped up the non-conference schedule on a two-game win streak with wins over Amherst and Lehman.
