Scwhippert and Duryea Honored as Falcons of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Mikaela Scwhippert (Whippany, N.J.) of the Albertus Magnus softball team and Nick Duryea (East Haven, Conn.) of the men's lacrosse team were named the Takin' Flight Falcons of the Week for their performances this past week.

Scwhippert went 5-for-7 with a double, two RBI and one run scored in a doubleheader against Marywood and Mount Union on Monday. The first-year is batting .583 with five RBI through her first four games for the Falcons. 

Duryea earned his first win of the season while tallying 14 saves as the Falcons defeated St. Joseph's (L.I.) 8-7 on Wednesday. The sophmore goalie followed up with a career-high 23 saves and his first career assist in a 10-3 victory over Cairn on Tuesday.
