NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Julianna Montano (Wallingford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus women's lacrosse team and Eric Chamandy (Montreal, Québec) of the men's tennis team were named the Takin' Flight Falcons of the Week for their performances this past week.
Montano recorded her first career hat trick in a narrow 13-11 loss to Mitchell on Saturday. The first-year added six groundballs and had four caused turnovers in the game, which were both career-highs.
Chamandy led the way for the Falcons as he and Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) in No. 2 doubles won 6-3 against Sarah Lawrence on Saturday. In No. 2 singles, the sophomore collected another win in straight sets. On Sunday, Chamandy and Kindrachuk picked up another doubles win with an 8-3 victory over Lehman. He added on with another straight sets singles win, as well.
