John O'Brien begins his first season as the Assistant Men's Ice Hockey Coach in August 2023. O'Brien moves into the Assistant Coach position after spending one season as the team's Graduate Assistant Coach.
Before Albertus, O'Brien graduated from Western New England University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. The Staten Island, N.Y., native was a four-year member of WNE's NCAA Division III men's ice hockey program. He served as a team captain in both his junior and senior seasons and earned All-CCC Academic honors in the spring of '19, '20, & '21.
