Patrick Dornfried (Berlin, Conn.) went 3-for-4 to lead the Albertus Magnus baseball team in a 19-0 loss to Wesleyan in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon. Wesleyan scored 19 runs on 18 hits as the Falcons were shutout for the first time this season.

Dornfried improved his hit tally on the year to 16 as he registered just his second multiple-hit game of the season.

The Falcons (5-15) threw five pitchers, four out of the pen, as Jeff Piscitelli (Wallingford, Conn.) took the loss after giving up 10 runs on nine hits in three innings of work. Jared Sabanski (Stamford, Conn.) allowed five runs, three walks and three hits as he was the first Falcon out of the bullpen.

Chris Law went five innings to improve to 3-0 on the year for the Cardinals. He gave up just three hits to the Falcons as Albertus registered six hits in the contest.

The Cardinals were led by Joe Giaimo who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a home run.  Freshman Donnie Cimino also knocked in three runs as he extended his hitting streak to 11 games.

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday, April 11 as they travel to Northfield, Vt. to take on Norwich in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) double-header.
