Anthony Pellegrino (Branford, Conn.) allowed just two hits as the Albertus Magnus baseball team blanked Anna Maria College 8-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Thursday night in West Haven, Conn.

Pellegrino improved to 1-1 from the hill as he threw seven innings and did not allow a run.  He walked three and struck out three batters in the complete-game shutout.  Pellegrino also had two hits to help his own cause in the Falcons' sixth victory of the season.

Patrick Dornfried (Berlin, Conn.) added a 2-for-4 performance with two RBI and one run scored for the Falcons, while Jordan Kubilus (Cheshire, Conn.) was also 2-for-4 with two runs.

The Falcons put together a two-run fourth inning as Kris Daur-Schierholz (East Haven, Conn.) recorded an RBI fielder's choice, while Mike Saia (Bridgeport, Conn.) recorded a sacrifice fly out to center field.

Albertus added a six-run sixth inning to secure the conference victory.  In the frame Dornfried led the Falcons with a two-RBI single.

Lucas Davis dropped to 0-5 on the year with tonight's game one loss as he allowed four runs on nine hits in five innings of work.
