
DAVENPORT, Fla. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team lost a 5-2 game to Mount Saint Mary's College (N.Y.) on Sunday in Florida as part of the RussMatt Tournament.
Eric Galarza (Bridgeport, Conn.) had a double with a run and Elijah Spataj (Cheshire, Conn.) had an RBI double for the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the Falcons were retired in order in the first, the Knights got on the board on an RBI single from Tyler Van De Bogart after three walks loaded the bases with no outs. However, starting pitcher Kevin Pascual (Norwalk, Conn.) was able to limit the damage, getting the next three batters out without another run crossing the plate.
- Albertus answered in the top of the second with a run of its own to tie the game, 1-1 after Galarza led off the inning with a double and was driven in by Eddy Garabito (Norwalk, Conn.) with an RBI single. The Falcons loaded the bases but were unable to get another run across
- MSMC scored two more runs in the bottom of the fifth after two bases loaded walks with two outs in the inning as the Knights took a 3-1 lead.
- The Falcons scraped together a run in the top of the sixth on an RBI double by Spataj that scored Vance Ward (Norwalk, Conn.), who walked to lead off the inning, making it a 3-2 game.
- The Knights scored two more in the bottom of the seventh as another bases loaded walk scored a run followed by a wild pitch to plate another one.
