WINTHROP, Mass. – After posting her fourth 20-plus-save game of the season in a loss to Simmons University on Saturday, Albertus Magnus College field hockey breakout Mikayla Lyston (Medford, N.Y.) was tabbed the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week. This recognition from the league office is the first for the Falcons, who joined the GNAC this season.

Against the Sharks on Homecoming Weekend, Lyston made a whopping 28 saves with a stellar .848 save percentage to keep the visitors to five goals, just one over the first 30 minutes. The rookie's 28 stops and .848 save percentage are both her second-highest marks of the year.

For the season, Lyston has been one of the most productive keepers in the country, as she leads all of Division III with 16.64 saves per game. With 28 saves on Saturday, she owns two of the top three spots on the DIII single-game saves leaderboard. Lyston sits on top of the single-game saves chart with 34 stops against Saint Joseph's College (Me.) on Sept. 21.

Albertus Magnus field hockey returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 23, with a home 4 p.m. GNAC tilt against Johnson & Wales University. Before the game, the Falcons will recognize the four seniors on the team as part of the program's Senior Day.
