HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blue Jays controlled much of the first half, scoring eight goals while owning a 9-0 advantage in shots on goal. The Falcons, on the other hand, did tally two shots in the first 30 minutes, with Lillian Woods (New London, N.H.) and Madison Duranleau (Wheelock, Vt.) each having cracks at the cage in the second quarter.

Trailing 8-0 entering the third quarter, the Albertus settled in to keep the home squad to just three goals for the remainder of the game. Between the pipes for the Falcons, Mikayla Lyston (Medford, N.Y.) was at her best in the second half, allowing three goals with eight of her 17 saves.

AMC also performed better on the offensive end of the field in the second half, with the team recording its lone goal and three shots in the half. Two of the three shots came from Alexis Duranleau (Wheelock, Vt.), who saw both get turned away by the keeper. The Falcons' tally was sparked by a penalty corner, one of three that they took in the final two quarters.

Brodman scored Albertus' goal on an assist from A. Duranleau just over 10 minutes into the fourth. The tally came after Brodman inserted a penalty corner to A. Duranleau, who sent the ball flying over the opposing goalie. Brodman then reached her stick up and deflected the ball down into the cage for the first goal of her collegiate career. Both Brodman and A. Duranleau have tallied a point in back-to-back games.

However, Albertus was unable to score for the remainder of the contest, as USJ held on to pick up an 11-1 conference victory.
