HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams fought for position over the first seven minutes, with the game staying tied at zero over that stretch. However, Rivier broke through first in the eighth minute when Abby Nadeau scored unassisted to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

The Nadeau goal was the lone one of the first quarter, as the Raiders did not find the back of the cage again until the second quarter. Rivier added three more tallies to storm ahead in the second, 4-0, heading into the halftime break.

Exactly like the first half, the Falcons allowed four goals in the second half, one in the third quarter and three in the fourth. After scoring the first goal of the game, Nadeau netted the visitor's last tally at the 49:06 mark to give the Raiders an 8-0 advantage.

However, the Falcons did not leave tonight's game empty-handed, as A. Duranleau netted a goal in the 50th minute. Off of a penalty corner, Lillian Woods (New London, N.H.) inserted the ball to A. Duranleau, who fired a rocket past the opposing keeper for the score.

Between the pipes for the Falcons, both Woods and Danielle Brodman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) played a half, with both allowing four goals each. Woods finished the game with seven saves, while Brodman made six stops in her first collegiate appearance as a goalie.
