NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College field hockey team was picked to finish 13th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) preseason poll as the conference released the results on Wednesday.
The Falcons received 24 voting points, ten points behind 12th place, Elms.
Two-time defending GNAC champion, Johnson and Wales was selected to three-peat, receiving 166 voting points and 12 of the 13 first-place votes. Simmons, last season's runner-up was picked second with 149 points and the remaining first-place vote. Colby-Sawyer was picked third with 135 voting points.
In 2022, the Falcons finished 2-14 overall and 2-9 in the GNAC.
Albertus opens its season at home on Saturday, September 2 against New England College at 3:30 p.m.
