NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College field hockey team lost a 2-0 match to Johnson and Wales (R.I.) on Tuesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.
Ella Welton (Cliffwood, N.J.) had 10 saves on the day for Albertus.

Welton had seven saves in the first half to keep JWU off the board as the teams went into the halftime break scoreless.

In the second half, Megan Salsinha scored both goals for the Wildcats. Her first came just over three minutes into the third quarter on a shot just inside the top of the box to make it a 1-0 game. Just over five minutes later at the 38:56 mark of the match, she tallied her second goal, rolling a shot that deflected evaded defenders and into the back of the net to make it a 2-0 game.
