Falcons Drop 88-75 Decision to Trinity College

 

Hartford, CT- On Wednesday Night, The Albertus Magnus College Men's Basketball dropped an 88-75 decision late in the second half to host Trinity College. Trinity lead 42-40 at the half in a back and forth contest in the first half featuring seven ties.  The game continued to be close in the second half with the game tied 68-68 with 5 minutes left to play.  Trinity would go on a pair of 5-0 runs to put the game out of reach for the Falcons.  The Falcons were lead by sophomore Ray Askew (Hamden, CT) and his game high 22 points and 10 rebounds.  Freshman forward David Armstrong (Bridgeport, CT) had a game high 12 rebounds to go along with six points and three blocks.  Trinity College had five players in double figures with junior forward Luke MacDougall (Baldwinsville, NY) scoring a team high 15 points and 10 rebounds. Albertus drops to 6-2, 2-0 GNAC on the season while Trinity improves to 5-5, 0-0 NESCAC.  The Falcons look to rebound as they travel to play Division I Yale University on Thursday with a 7:00 PM start.  It will mark the first time in program history that the Men's Basketball Program will face a Division I opponent.
