On Saturday afternoon, junior guard Walden St. Juste (Hartford, CT) had a team high 24 points including six three-pointers to lead the Falcons into sole possession of first place in the GNAC. The Falcons received strong play from sophomore forward Ray Askew (Hamden, CT) and his 19 points and 11 rebounds, his 10th double-double of the season. Freshman center Jefferson Lora (Bronx, NY) chipped in 16 points going 6-7 from the field and 4-5 at the free-throw line. River College was led by junior guard Nick Bean (E. Longmeadow, MA) who scored a game high 27 points while senior center Luke Brownell (Hubbardston, MA) recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Albertus improves to 9-4, 5-1 GNAC while Rivier College drops to 3-10, 0-6 GNAC. The Falcons travel to Standish, Maine to battle second place St. Joe's on Monday night with a 7:00 PM tip-off.
