Falcons Season Ends in ECAC Semifinals 66-61

Willimantic, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Basketball team saw it's season come to an end as #1 Eastern Connecticut State University held off a late second half surge by the #4 Falcons in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Semifinals.  The Falcons dropped the 66-61 decision after trailing by 14 points and making a late second half surge to pull within one possession several times in the remaining minutes.

First Team-All Conference junior forward Ray Askew (New Haven, CT/Career) got into foul trouble limiting him to 10 points in just 27 minutes of play.  Senior guard Walden St. Juste (Hartford, CT/Bulkeley) had a team high 17 points and three steals.  Sophomore guard Arshad Jackson (Hartford, CT/Hartford Public) added nine points.

Eastern Connecticut was led by junior guard Nick Nedwick (Irvington, NY/Irvington) and his game high 26 points while forward Jamie Kohn (Colombia, CT/Coventry) added 14 points and a game high 16 rebounds.

Albertus concludes their season at 18-11, 14-4 GNAC while Eastern CT State moves on to the ECAC Finals as they host Brandeis on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM.
