D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll

The Albertus Magnus men's basketball team received a No. 16 ranking in this week's D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll. This is the fourth-straight week that the Falcons have been ranked among the top Division III teams in the country. With their new ranking, the Falcons drop one spot from where they stood a week ago.

During play last week, the Falcons swept its Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament opponents as the Falcons won all three contests by an average of 30 points per game. In the GNAC Championship game, the Falcons dominated play and came out with an 88-54 victory over Anna Maria in front of a crowd of over 900 spectators.

Albertus is currently on a 22-game win streak as the Falcons stand at 27-1 on the year. The Falcons' 27 wins mark both a program and GNAC record in wins in a single season.

Hope College remained the top team in the country for the fourth-straight week with a 26-1 overall record. Amherst and MIT round out the top-three teams, while Middlebury was ranked fourth.

The Falcons will head up to Middlebury College for the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Albertus will take on Saint Joseph's College of Long Island on Friday, March 2 in a 5:30 p.m. match-up before Middlebury hosts Morrisville State at 7:30 p.m. The winners of those two contests will face off on Saturday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m.

The D3hoops.com Top-25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.
