Senior Arshad Jackson (Hartford, Conn.) and junior Darius Watson (New Britain, Conn.) scored 21 and 25 points, respectively, to lead the Albertus Magnus men's basketball team to an 87-82 win at Coast Guard on Tuesday night.

Jackson, who now has 969 career points, shot 6-of-16 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line for 21 points. His 21-point effort marked his fourth game of the season with 20 or more points. Watson shot an impressive 10-of-14 from the floor for 25 points, while he added six rebounds on the night.

Coast Guard jumped out to an 11-5 lead as Greg Marshall tallied seven points in the opening five minutes of play.  Albertus put together its own 9-0 run to take a 24-21 advantage.

The Falcons led at the break by one at 37-36 as Coast Guard stayed in the game by shooting 41.9% from the floor in the first half. The Bears' largest lead of the night came in the first half when they took a six-point lead with 14:58 left in the opening frame. Watson scored 16 of his 25 points in the first half.

Both teams shot well in the second frame as the Falcons shot 53.3% from the floor and 17-of-21 from the charity stripe.  Coast Guard shot a stellar 59.3% in the second half, including a 50% showing from behind the arc.

Coast Guard tied the game at 45 with 15:20 left in regulation before a Jackson jumper in the lane gave Albertus the lead for good.  The Bears cut the Albertus lead to one with less than five minutes to go but the Falcons' closed out the game and secured the five-point victory.

Jefferson Lora (Bronx, N.Y.) added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Falcons.

Coast Guard was led by Marshall, who tallied a season-high 27 points.

Albertus returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 14 when the Falcons host Saint Joseph's College of Maine in a 7:30 p.m. contest. Thursday's game, originally scheduled for last Saturday but changed due to the snow storm, will mark the Falcons' final home game of the regular season as Albertus will honor its six seniors prior to tip-off.
