Winthrop, Mass. – For the sixth time this season, junior forward Jaqhawn Walters (Hartford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, as announced by the league office.

Walters averaged 30.5 points, 19.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 48.9% (22- 45 FG) in a 2-0 week. He opened the week netting his 1,000th career point as the forward registered a career-high 34 points, season-high 23 rebounds and three assists in a win at Emmanuel. On Saturday, he concluded the regular season with 27 points, 15 rebounds and four assists against Mount Ida. 

The Falcons have earned the #1 seed in the GNAC Championship and will host #8 Anna Maria on Tuesday, February 21st for a quarterfinal matchup. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
