New Haven, Conn. – Junior Jaqhawn Walters (Hartford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team received year-end honors from D3Hoops.com announced earlier today. The Falcons' forward was named to the 2017 All-American Second Team as well as named to the 2017 All-Region Second Team.

Last week, the junior forward also earned a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-District Second Team.

Walters was named the GNAC Player of the Year and a First Team All-Selection after he finished the year averaging 20.7 points, 13.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He was also named GNAC Tournament Most Valuable Player after the Falcons defeated Lasell College in the GNAC Championship.

In fact, his 13.4 rebounds per game ranked him first in the GNAC and fourth in Division III. He also finished the season with 23 double-doubles while shooting 55.1 percent from the field. He also reached the 1,000 point milestone and did so in 78 games.
