Jersey City, N.J. - The Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team fell on the road to No. 24 New Jersey City University by a score of 104-83 Monday evening in non-conference play at the John J. Moore Athletic and Fitness Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
- NJCU controlled the opening five minutes of play with a commanding 21-4 lead until a jumper from Marquise Owens (Thorafare, N.J.) at the 14:23 mark broke the Falcons' scoreless drought, 21-6.
- The Gothic Knights saw their lead grow to 22, 33-11, before finding themselves ahead 34, 45-11, after rallying together a 12-0 run.
- Albertus continued to chip away at the Gothic Knights' lead, but would head into halftime down 58-18.
Second Half:
- Albertus started off the half hot rallying together a 10-2 run, sparked by a layup from Damian Grant (Waterbury, Conn.), to bring the score to 60-28.
- NJCU maintained a 30-point lead for the majority of the half until the 3:49 mark as the Falcons battled back to within 22, 90-68, following a short spurt by the visitors.
- However, that would be the closest the Falcons get despite outshooting the hosts in the second, 65-46.
