Winthrop, Mass. - Freshman Davon Warner (New Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Warner averaged 24.0 points and 5.0 rebounds across 25.5 minutes per game while shooting 47.2% (17-36 FG) overall, including 12-of-25 (48%) from three-point range in a 1-1 week. He poured in a career-high 26 points to go along with four rebounds in a loss to the NESCAC's Middlebury (14-5 overall) before recording 22 points, six rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes during an 84-81 GNAC road win over Colby-Sawyer. 

The men's basketball team continues GNAC play on Saturday, January 26 as the Falcons travel to Boston, Mass. to take on Emmanuel (Mass.) College. Tip-off is set for 1 pm.
