Men's Basketball Back Receiving Votes in Latest D3Hoops.com Top 25 Poll

New Haven, Conn. – After winning each of its last four games, the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team returned to the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll, receiving four votes in the latest edition of the rankings.

The Falcons are no strangers to the D3Hoops.com Top 25, as they have been ranked as high as No. 18 this season. Albertus was ranked or received votes in six consecutive polls between Dec. 10 and Jan. 27. The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.

Albertus has been ranked or received votes in the Top 25 multiple times since 2010. The Falcons have been ranked as high as No. 6 in the nation, which occurred in 2015, also receiving first-place votes that year. The Falcons additionally received Top 25 recognition in each of the 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2017 seasons.

The Falcons enter today's poll riding a four-game win streak, giving them an 18-4 overall record and a 7-2 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). This past week, Albertus scored 100-plus points against both Lasell University (105-97) and Norwich University (103-77) to pick up a pair of home league wins.

Entering Monday, the Falcons rank in the top 10 of seven different statistical categories. In addition to ranking seventh in all of Division III in both scoring offense (90.9 ppg) and rebound per game (44.6), Albertus is third in offensive rebounds per game (17.0), fifth in free-throw attempts (612), eighth in steals per game (11.0), ninth in turnovers forced per game (19.5) and 10th in free throws made (415).

Albertus Magnus men's basketball returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 18, to play Emmanuel College (Mass.) at 7 p.m. in its final home contest of the 2019-20 regular season. Before the game, the Falcons will honor its three-member senior class- Jahmerikah Green-Younger (Norwalk, Conn.), Damian Grant (Waterbury, Conn.), and Liam Perryman (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) -as part of Senior Night.
