HOW IT HAPPENED

Albertus opened regulation with the early 9-4 lead behind four points from Dawkins, three points from Warner, and two from Mekhi Warren (New Haven, Conn.), just three minutes in, to take the early advantage over the Pride.

Less than a minute later, Regis battled back offensively, cutting the lead to within one, 9-8, before tying the game at the 15:23 mark, 11-11, following a three-point jumper from Russell Rau.

Despite the rally from the Pride, Albertus resumed control and responded with a 20-4 run to take a commanding 16-point lead, 31-15, with 7:47 left to play in the first. From there, Albertus and Regis traded baskets over the next few minutes before the Pride closed out the half with an 11-7 run, cutting the deficit to 14, 44-30, heading into the halftime break.

Regis came out of the locker room looking for vengeance as the hosts found themselves trailing by 10, 49-39, after kicking off the second stanza with a 9-5 run. The Falcons maintained their double-digit lead until back-to-back baskets from the Pride brought the score to within seven, 55-48, with 11:40 remaining in regulation.

Following the run, Albertus called a timeout to regroup and came out of the huddle scoring nine unanswered points, including five from Dawkins and four from Washington, pushing its lead back-up to double digits, 64-48.

Soon after, a pair of free throws from Regis' Joshua Perez at the 7:38 mark broke up the Falcons' run and forced both teams to battle offensively back-and-forth over the next three minutes of play.

Over the final three minutes of regulation, Regis was unable to secure the comeback as the Falcons went on to earn their fifth road victory of the season.
