NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Graduate student Terry Dawkins (Bronx, N.Y.) and senior Justice Washington (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team recorded a pair of double-doubles as the Falcons captured their fourth consecutive win following a 76-64 home victory over the Bulldogs of Dean College on Sunday afternoon inside "The Nest'' in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.
Following today's home victory over the Bulldogs, head men's basketball coach Mitch Oliver earned his 300th career win. He now holds the record in all-time wins and winning percentage in the men's basketball program and Albertus Athletics history.
Dawkins and Washington put together season-highs in the contest, as Dawkins recorded a 26-point, 15-rebound performance, while Washington followed close behind with a 20-point, 20-rebound showing. Antonio Bonilla (Tenafly, N.J.) also had a great game for the Falcons, as the junior guard tallied his 11th double-digit scoring effort of the season with 12 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons raced out to an early 7-2 lead just 2:57 into regulation, as Bonilla nailed a three-point jumper, followed by back-to-back baskets from Washington and Tazhon Daniels (New Haven, Conn.)
- AMC continued to apply the early pressure, adding another 7-2 run to the books to expand their lead to double-digits, 14-4. Kevin Crawford (Bridgeport, Conn.) secured a lay-up, while Dawkins hit a short jumper, and Bonilla found paydirt from beyond the arc for the second time.
- The Bulldogs retaliated with their own 7-2 spurt to cut the deficit to five, 16-11, but Dawkins nailed a spin-around jumper to push AMC's lead to seven, 18-11.
- The teams traded baskets for the next few minutes before the Falcons took off with another 7-0 run to push the advantage to 29-15 with 7:54 remaining in the first.
- Tight defense by both squads over the next minute halted the scoring until a free throw from Dean's Mark Blair sparked a 6-2 run to cut the deficit to nine, 31-22.
- The Bulldogs continued their scoring spree as the visitors closed out the first half on a 10-4 run that sent the teams into halftime, with the blue-and-white holding on to the narrow 35-32 lead.
- The Bulldogs scampered out of the break with a 6-2 push to take their first lead of the day, 38-37, before Bonilla gave the Falcons new life with a swooshing three-point jumper to regain the lead for the host's 40-38.
- The next two minutes of play saw Albertus and Dean battle through two ties and two lead changes until six straight points from Dawkins put the hosts ahead by five, 50-45, with 12:41 remaining in regulation.
- However, the Bulldogs didn't let up, battling back to within two, 58-56, at the 8:33 mark.
- Washington scored four points for the Falcons during this stretch, while Jeyson Slade (Stamford, Conn.) and Dawkins chipped in with two points each.
- A three-point jumper from Bonilla at the 8:09 mark sparked a 9-0 Falcon run that extended the host's advantage to 67-56.
- With the clock ticking down, Dean continued to chip away at the Falcons' lead but was unable to secure the late comeback, with the Falcons emerging triumphant with the 76-64 conference victory.
