HAMDEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team took on Division I Quinnipiac on Wednesday evening in an exhibition game. The Bobcats won, 79-68.
Three players scored in double figures as Ta'Zhon Daniels, Ray Ford, Jr. and Lennox Serrano each had 10 points. Ford and Serrano each hit two of the six three-pointers made for Albertus.
A 12-0 run early in the first half gave the Falcons a ten-point lead early in the first half, but Quinnipiac ended up leading 35-30 at halftime.
Ford also added nine rebounds for the Falcons.
Three Bobcats scored in double figures, led by Amarri Monroe with 18 points.
The Falcons outscored the Bobcats in bench scoring, 29-21. Albertus also had 26 points in the paint.
Albertus opens its regular seson at home on November 13 at 7:30 p.m. against Montclair State.
