HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team lost a close 88-85 game in overtime to Franklin and Marshall on Sunday afternoon during the second day of the Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off Classic.
Ta'Zhon Daniels (New Haven, Conn.) scored a career-high 26 points, including 11-for-12 from the free-throw line. Tahijj Hunter (Mount Laurel, N.J.) scored 16 points, going a perfect-6-for-6 from the field. He also grabbed five rebounds. Ray Ford, Jr. (Jersey City, N.J.) scored seven points to go with six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Jayquan Kirkland (Stratford, Conn.) finished with nine points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Franklin and Marshall scored the first seven points of the game before the Falcons scored the next five as Hunter scored after a steal from Daniels, followed by two free throws from Ford after he forced a turnover.
- The Diplomats took a lead of 25-13 at the 11:12 mark of the first half, but the Falcons chipped away over the next eight minutes, tying the score at 32-32 at the 3:03 mark after a 19-7 run. Kirkland fueled the run, with seven points during the stretch, including the jump shot that tied the game. Deivone Tanksley (Hartford, Conn.) had four points during the run, and Ford, Jr. hit a three.
- Franklin and Marshall held a small 37-36 lead heading into halftime. Daniels scored 12 points in the half for Albertus, including 3-for-5 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. Kevin Nowoswiat had 13 to pace Franklin and Marshall.
- The Diplomats extended its lead to 42-36 at the 18:24 mark of the second half, but the Falcons were able to grab its first lead at the 16:23 mark after a layup from Ford made it a 46-45 game.
- A 21-9 run from Franklin and Marshall put it back up 66-55 with 9:38 remaining. However, Albertus responded with a 23-11 run of its own over the next eight minutes to briefly take the lead back at 78-77. Malcolm Duncanson (West Haven, Conn.) started the run with four of the first seven points for the Falcons and two free throws and a jumper from Daniels made it a 73-68 game. The Diplomats went back up 77-68 after a layup from Parra, but Hunter went on an 8-0 run by himself to cut the Albertus deficit to 77-76.
- Ford forced a turnover and the Falcons were able to convert as a layup from Kevin Crawford (Bridgeport, Conn.) gave Albertus its first lead in the second half. Franklin and Marshall took an 80-78 lead, but Crawford responded with another layup with 15 seconds left to tie the game and send it into overtime.
- The two teams swapped buckets to begin the overtime period as Lennox Serrano got Albertus on the board in the extra frame. Franklin and Marshall took an 88-85 lead with 20 seconds left after the teams traded free throws. However, Albertus was unable to connect on a three to tie the game in the final seconds.
