NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Ta'zhon Daniels (New Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll for his performance during the week of Nov. 18-24.
Daniels averaged 18.7 points, six assists and four rebounds while shooting 6-for-12 from three (50 pct.) and 14-for-15 (93.3 pct) from the free-throw line over the three-game stretch where the Falcons went 2-1.
In a thrilling 68-65 victory over Emerson on November 20, Daniels hit the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer. He finished with 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
During a 79-70 win over SUNY Delhi on November 22, Daniels registered his first career double-double with 16 points and 10 assists to go with six rebounds and four steals during the semifinals of the Herb Kenny Tournament hosted by Wesleyan.
The following day in the Herb Kenny Tournament Championship game against Wesleyan, Daniels scored a career-high 28 points, including 4-for-5 from three and 6-for-6 from the free-throw line to go with five assists and two rebounds. Daniels was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
Albertus returns to action on Wednesday as it takes on Babson on the road at 2 p.m.
