
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Deivone Tanksley (Hartford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) after his performance during the team's 2-0 week from Jan. 20-26.
During the week, Tanksley averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and shot 80 percent (4-for-5) from three in the team's conference wins over Johnson and Wales and Rivier.
In the 81-65 win at JWU on January 21, Tanksley scored a game-high 21 points on 7-for-11 shooting and made all three of his three-pointers while grabbing six rebounds to go with three steals.
Against Rivier, Tanksley notched a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
This season, Tanksley has six double-doubles on the season and is averaging 10.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
