New Haven, Conn. - In its final home dual match of 2017, the Albertus Magnus College men's golf team fell to visiting Dean College on Friday afternoon at Ailing Memorial Golf Course. The Bulldogs carded a team-total of 339 to top the Falcons' score of 377 on the par-72, 6,248-yard track.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dean's Austin McCreary topped teammates Mike McAuliffe and Owen Madigan-Fried by 10 strokes to earn low medalist honors. McCreary shot a three-over to record a score of 75 while AcAuliffe and Madigan-Fried carded an 85 each.
The low scorer for the hosts was senior Zach Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) with an 88, followed by Elijah Thomas (New Haven, Conn.) and Quinn Oliver (Milford, Conn.) who both recorded a score of 98.
Rounding out the scoring for Albertus Magnus was seniors Tom Crocco (Kings Park, N.Y.) Brennan Moore (Meriden, Conn.) who carded a 93 and 103, respectively.
