Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at the Mitchell Invitational

New London, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team placed sixth overall at the Mitchell Invitational on Wednesday afternoon. The one day, 18-hole event was contested at the par-71 Shennecossett Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dean College shot a team round of 312 to win the Mitchell Invitational as well as had three golfers finish in the top 10. Becker College finished second in the team standings with a 327, while host Mitchell turned in a team round of 333 to finish third. Eastern Nazarene College (340), Emmanuel College (349) and Albertus Magnus College (388) rounded out the team standings. 

INSIDE THE STATS
Senior Brennan Moore (Meriden, Conn.) paved the way for the Falcons, finishing 18th overall, along with Emmanuel's (Mass.) Brian Daly, with a score of 90. Freshman Quinn Oliver (Milford, Conn.) finished the day with a score of 95, placing him in 24th. 

Junior Elijah Thomas (New Haven, Conn.) landed in 27th place with a score of 100. Rounding out the field was senior Tom Crocco (Kings Park, N.Y.) and senior Zach Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) who finished 28th and 29th overall, respectively. Crocco carded a 103, while Schatz carded a 107.

UP NEXT
Albertus Magnus returns to action next weekend, October 14-15, competing in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship to close out the year.
