SELECTION PRESS RELEASE

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA released the 43-team field for the 2021 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday, May 3. The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team was one of the 30 programs that earned an automatic qualification into the event.

In addition to the 43 teams competing in the NCAA Championship, the field will also include six individuals not on one of those teams. After 36 holes, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and top six individuals not on one of those programs. The championship will be held May 11-14 at the Oglebay Golf Resort, in Wheeling, W.V., and will be hosted by Bethany College and the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

The Falcons earned their automatic qualification into the NCAA Championship with a convincing victory at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Golf Championship, the program's first league title. Albertus (320) topped second-place finisher Saint Joseph's College of Maine (343) by 23 strokes, with senior Ryan Sember (Branford, Conn.) capturing medalist honors with a two-under 69.

In addition to Sember, Robert Eichelberger (Odessa, Fla.) (83), David Aquavia (Oakville, Conn.) (84), and Devin Hines (West Haven, Conn.) (84) all made the GNAC All-Tournament team.
