ROUND ONE LEADERBOARD

WHEELING, W.V. - The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team opened day one of the 2021 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Tournament with a team score of 350, placing the Falcons in 37th at the event, hosted at the Speidel Jones Course at the Oglebay Resort & Conference Center in Wheeling, W.V.

Senior Ryan Sember (Branford, Conn.) paced the Falcons on day one with a score of 79, tying him in 92nd place for a spot on the top half of the individual leaderboard. Sember posted birdies on the eighth and 16th holes, respectively, and closed out round one with eight pars.

Sophomore David Aquavia (Oakville, Conn.) was the next Falcon on the leaderboard, finishing the day with a 17-over 88 at the challenging course. The sophomore from Oakville, Conn., ended the round in a tie for 174th on the leaderboard. Aquavia carded four pars and didn't post a score worse than double bogey.

Rounding out Albertus' scoring four were Brandon Fowler (Lexington, S.C.) and Devin Hines (West Haven, Conn.), with round-one scores of 90 (+19) and 93 (+22), respectively. The Falcons' final participant was Robert Eichelberger (Odessa, Fla.), with a score of 112 (+41).
