GROTON, Conn. - The defending Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Champion the Albertus Magnus College men's golf team started off the 2021 fall season with a victory at the Mitchell College Invite on Wednesday afternoon.
The Falcons (332) didn't succumb to a championship hangover, as they bested Mitchell College (345), Eastern Nazarene College (366), and Elms College (NTS) in a quad match. The contest took place at Shennecossett Golf Course, home of the Mitchell Mariners, where the Falcons are now winners of two straight events.

NOTES
- Ryan Sember (Branford, Conn.) began the season with a strong 78 eagling the 18th hole to tie for second place. His eagle was the only one carded at the event.
- Junior David Aquavia (Oakville, Conn.) came up clutch and posted his best score in two years with a round of 83 to finish in fifth.
- Newcomer Charles Kristofak (West Hartford, Conn.) started his career off with a bang, scoring an 85 coming in seventh place.
- Devin Hines (West Haven, Conn.) followed up his great year in 2020 with another respectable round of 86 tying him for eighth.
- Rounding out the group was Coleton Cianci (Kirkland, Quebec) making his debut with the team shooting a 99, and coming in 15th place.
