Sember Takes Medalist Honors, Falcons Finish Fourth at Brett Williamson Invite

TEAM RESULTS | INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Senior Ryan Sember (Branford, Conn.) earned medalist honors to lead the Albertus Magnus men's golf team to a fourth-place showing at the Brett Williamson Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University on Thursday. Sember carded a two-over 73 to best the 56-person field. 

The Falcons (326) posted another solid performance, coming in fourth place out of 11 programs with a team score of 326. Albertus was just edged by Eastern Connecticut State University (311), Westfield State University (316), and Mitchell College (324). However, AMC got the better of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foes Dean College (340) and Emmanuel (Mass.) College (382).

NOTES

  • Sember won medalist for the sixth time as a Falcons with a low score of 73 (+2).
  • Devin Hines (West Haven, Conn.) carded his third-straight 2021 round in the 80s with a 10-over 81 this morning to finished tied for 16th.
  • Charles Kristofak (West Hartford, Conn.) had yet another good performance shooting an 86 (+15) to tie for 27th on the leaderboard.
  • David Aquavia (Oakville, Conn.) knocked two strokes off his score at the 2019 Brett Williamson Invitational with a round of 86 (+15) this morning to finish tied for 27th.
  • Liam Deane (Branford, Conn.) made his season debut, shooting a 92 for a 36th-place showing.

UP NEXT
The men's golf team will next hit the course to defend their GNAC Championship. The two-day event is scheduled to take place at the New Haven Country Club on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 11-12.
