NEW HAVEN, Conn. - After earning medalist honors in back-to-back events, sophomore Shamar Wilson (Runaway Bay, Jamaica) of the Albertus Magnus men's golf team was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Wilson's first win came in a tri-match against Purchase and Dean on September 6 at the New Haven Country Club. Wilson shot a 78, leading the Falcons to their first match win of the season as the team finished with a 319.

The following day at Shennecossett Golf Course, Wilson shot 2-under par 69 in a win at the Mitchell Invite I. The Falcons set a program record, shooting a 301 (+17).
