Men's Golf In Second At GNAC Championships As First Round Suspended Due To Darkness

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team is currently in second place at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship (GNAC) as the first round of the tournament was suspended due to darkness.

One group did not complete the round and have one hole remaining.

The Falcons, who finished their round, shot a 51-over par 33. New England College currently holds the lead at 45-over par with one player remaining. Norwich University is 58-over par and Saint Joseph's (Me.) is 61-over par, each with a player left on the course.

Leading the way for the Falcons was Charles Kristofak, who shot a 10-over par 80 and currently is tied for fifth. He had one birdie on the day. Shamar Wilson (Runaway Bay, Jamaica is tied for ninth after a 12-over par 82. Kyle Sikorski is one shot behind Wilson, in 11th place.

David Aquavia shot a 16-over par 86 and Sam Witt was 24-over par.

Michael Keefe of Dean College leads the tournament after shooting a six-over-par 76, followed by Kam Hellman of New England College is two strokes back and in second place. Ian Reynolds of Emmanuel and Matthew Brangeforte of Dean round out the top three.
