Men's Golf Picked To Finish Fourth In Upcoming GNAC Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team was picked to finish in fourth place in the 2024 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Golf Pre-Championship Poll which was released on Friday by the conference. The GNAC Championships - which is a 36 hole event - will take place from Monday October 14 to Tuesday, October 15 at Concord Country Club in Concord, N.H.

The Falcons finished with 39 voting points after voting was conducted by the league's eight head coaches. Defending champion and host institution, New England College was picked to repeat, receiving 64 voting points, including all eight first-place votes. Norwich University was picked second with 53 voting points and Saint Joseph's (Me.) was picked third with 41 voting points.

Rounding out the final spots were Emmanuel (38 points), Mitchell (29), Dean (15) and Elms (11).

The Falcons will be looking for their second GNAC Men's Golf Championship as they won their first title during the 2020-21 season.

Last season, the Falcons finished in third place in the GNAC Championships at New Haven Country Club with Charles Kristofak as the top finisher for Albertus, tying for third.
