Men's Golf Takes Third In GNAC Championships; Kristofak Finishes Ninth

CONCORD, N.H. - The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team finished in third place at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships after shooting a two-round total of 104-over par 664 at the Par 70 Concord Country Club. The Falcons shot a 45-over par 325 in the second round, 14 strokes better than they did in round one.

Host institution New England College repeated as GNAC champions, shooting a 60-over par 620. Saint Joseph's College (Me.) finished second with an 86-over par 646.

Charles Kristofak (West Hartford, Conn.) finished in ninth place with a two-day score of 21-over par 161. With his finish, he was named to the All-GNAC Second Team. It is the second consecutive year he made the All-GNAC team. Last season he made the first team. In round two, Kristofak shot a 78, including a birdie on the 15th hole. He had 11 pars on the day.

Kyle Sikorski (Norwich, Conn.) shot an 80 in the second round, finishing at +27 for the tournament and a 17th place finish. Nick Piselli (Milford, Conn.) finished three shots behind Sikorski with a +31, with a birdie on the 18th.

Chace Hale (Pittsburgh, Pa.) shot an 88 on the day and was +29 for the tournament.

Andrew Buckholz (New Haven, Conn.) shot an 84 on the day and finished the tournament in 26th place at +36.
