Scott Pollak Named Assistant Men's Ice Hockey Coach

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Scott Pollak has been named assistant men's ice hockey coach at Albertus Magnus College, it was announced by head coach Kyle Wallack on Wednesday afternoon. Pollak joins Albertus Magnus after spending five seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Manhattanville College.

"I am extremely excited and honored to become part of the Albertus Magnus family," said Pollak. "I want to thank Coach Wallack for the tremendous opportunity to be part of his staff and look forward to working with him and our players to achieve success both on and off the ice."

"I am are very excited to add Scott to our coaching staff," said head coach Kyle Wallack. "He brings 20 years of coaching experience along with a 25-year career in business and looks forward to leveraging all of his experiences to support our student-athletes."

During his time at Manhattanville, the Valiants won the UCHC Tournament Championship and went to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Prior to Manhattanville, Pollak coached for over 15 years at various hockey organizations.  He produced well-respected and highly competitive teams and also developed successful DI and DIII players. 

As a player, Pollak played four years at Quinnipiac University from 1992-96, serving as an assistant captain in his senior year and earning the team's Coaches Award in 1995. 

Pollak graduated from Quinnipiac in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and spent 25 years in banking and financial services, most recently as a managing director at Citigroup.
