HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless 14 minutes to start the game, Albertus netted the contest's opening goal at the 14:09 mark of the first period. Colt Corpse (Fort Wayne, Ind.) tallied his first career goal on a one-timer from the right side of the zone after a pass from Dino Antoniadis (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).

AMC took a 2-0 lead 16:07 into the second period on a goal from Charles Risk (Medicine Hat, Alberta). Risk sent the puck in from just above the blue line, finding space through the keeper's legs for his first goal of the season. Ryan Colwell (Plainedge, N.Y.) earned an assist on the score.

Two minutes later, Sam Anderson (Calgary, Alberta) made it a 3-0 game with his second goal of the year. At the 18:05 mark, Harley Michaels (Kirkland, Quebec) stole the puck with a man down and brought it into the offensive zone before finding Anderson, who beat two defenders and the goalie for the score.

The three-goal lead heading into the third proved to be more than enough for Albertus, as its defense stepped up in the final 20 minutes to secure the shutout. Anchoring the backline was Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario), who made 18 saves in the third, 35 for the game, to pick up his first career clean sheet.
