HOW IT HAPPENED
The first period flew by as no goals were scored, and just two penalties were called. Albertus controlled the opening 20 minutes, tallying 14 shots to Post's five. Despite the offensive advantage, the Falcons had to wait till the second period to get on the scoreboard.

AMC's offensive edge started to take its toll in the second as the Falcons poured in four goals in the frame. The game's first tally came off the stick of Stein, who took advantage of a 2-on-1 opportunity to beat a sliding keeper to make it 1-0 6:06 into the frame. Gagnon fed the streaking Stein on the left side of the zone, while Christoffer Juvas (Stockholm, Sweden) also earned an assist.

Albertus found the back of the net again in a flash, taking just 31 seconds to go ahead 2-0. After winning a faceoff in his offensive zone, Sam Anderson (Calgary, Alberta) sent the puck across the crease, where Cameron Weitzman (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec) was waiting for the easy goal.

The Falcons made it 4-0 14:05 into the second with another Stein tally. Albertus' leading scorer took a pass from Gagnon in front of the net before beating the goalie glove-side high. Charles Risk (Medicine Hat, Alberta) earned an assist on the goal, one of two for him on the night.

AMC capped off the period with a Harley Michaels (Kirkland, Quebec) goal to make it 4-0 with 3:52 remaining. Ryan Malko (Cranford, N.J.) took the initial shot off a pass from Dino Antoniadis (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) before Michaels cleaned up the save by hitting the top-right corner for his first goal of the year.

After a Post goal near the end of the second kept the home team from ending the game scoreless, the Falcons answered by netting both tallies in the third.

The first goal of the frame came from Anderson at the 10:52 mark. While short-handed, Anderson rebounded a saved Weitzman shot to put the Falcons up 5-1. Risk was credited with his second assist of the night on the play.

Albertus iced the game with 6:01 remaining, as Gagnon, Tyler Ignazzitto (Bath, Ontario), and Stein passed the puck around on a transition before Gagnon stopped and ripped a shot past the moving goalie to set the 6-1 final score.

On the other side of the ice, Bateman made the most of his offense's showcase, allowing just one goal on 19 shots to pick up his fifth win of the season.
