HOW IT HAPPENED

  • It took over 13 minutes for anyone to get on the board, until Nick Cordeiro put Norwich on the board at the 13:05 mark of the first period  as he put home a rebound off a shot from Ben van Waterschoot.
  • Albertus tied it up at the 16:24 mark of the first as Kyle Dann (Windham, N.H.) was able to make a pass to Pattison while falling to the ice just in front of the net. Pattison put his shot past Norwich goaltender, Sami Molu to make it a 1-1 game.
  • Norwich added one goal in the second period from Owen Sclisizzi and then one under two minutes into the third by Kyle Kudrna.
  • Albertus battled back with two goals in a stretch of 1:52 in the third, both on power plays. At the 6:43 mark, Lavigne cut the deficit to 2-1 on his second goal of the season, firing a one-timer off a pass from Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) that went through a sea of people in front of the net. Ignazzitto had the second assist on the goal.
  • Ignazzitto then tied the game at the 8:35 mark as he stuffed in a loose puck in front of the net past Molu. Sam Anderson (Calgary, Alberta) and Tim Manning (Concord, Ohio) each had an assist on the goal.
  • Just three minutes later, Norwich took the lead back as Matt Harvey fired a shot from the blue line off a pass from Zach Ophoven.
