HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Salve Regina struck first on a goal from Walter Baumann to make it a 1-0 game just 6:35 in. However, Albertus was able to tie the game 57 seconds later after a pass from Sam Anderson (Calgary, Alberta) to Zindrachuk to make it a 1-1 game, which would hold until the second period.
  • The second period saw five goals between the two teams. Once again, it was the Seahawks to scored first on a Quinn Tavares goal, but Manning answered less than two minutes later off a pass from Andrew Van Antwerp (Petoskey, Mich.) to tie the game for the second time at 2-2.
  • Salve Regina took a commanding two-goal lead after goals from Matthew Brunton and Cade DeStefani, but Bertamini put home his third goal of the season with less than three minutes left in the second period to cut the Albertus deficit to 4-3.
  • The Seahawks took their second two-goal lead of the game in the third period on a goal from Jonathan Hammel.
  • Tseglnik helped start the rally for the Falcons in the third period with his fifth goal of the season on a pass from Robert Barrasso (Mountain Lakes, N.J.). With 58 seconds remaining in regulation, and the Falcons on a 6-on-4 advantage, Kindrachuk sent the game into overtime on a pass from Bertamini.
  • A slap shot from Hoon Kim of Salve at the 3:39 mark of overtime won the game for the Seahawks.
